  • Homage to Rosa Parks

Whilst on set (1940s bus in the middle of no where) it really struck a cord it had me thinking about Rosa Parks and her  courageous move in 1955  when she refused to give up her seat to a white man on a Montgomery, Alabama…. As much as I am a big fan of the clothing in that era 1955 this was a pivotal moment in black history too.

    1. I have learned over the years that when one’s mind is made up, this diminishes fear; knowing what must be done does away with fear.

The only tired I was, was tired of giving in.

Each person must live their life as a model for others.

Memories of our lives, of our works and our deeds will continue in others.

I would like to be remembered as a person who wanted to be free… so other people would be also free.

Racism is still with us. But it is up to us to prepare our children for what they have to meet, and, hopefully, we shall overcome

Have you ever been hurt and the place tries to heal a bit, and you just pull the scar off of it over and over again.

I would like to be known as a person who is concerned about freedom and equality and justice and prosperity for all people.

All I was doing was trying to get home from work.

Our mistreatment was just not right, and I was tired of it.

I did not get on the bus to get arrested I got on the bus to go home.

Thank you Rosa Parks for helping to pave the way for us… We still have along way to go but its heros  and heroin like yourself that got us this far.

    Cruella De Vil Costume

I am so pleased with how my reversible vintage coat.  The ideal Halloween outfit for my Disney Cruella De Vil inspired look. What do you folks think, did I pull it off?

Cruella de Vil  is a fictional character created by Dodie Smith as the main antagonist in her 1956 novel The Hundred and One Dalmatians, and in Walt Disney Pictures‘ animated film adaptations 101 Dalmatians(1961).
